This program offers a tax credit against state tax liability to promote the preservation, rehabilitation, and development of historic structures. The credit must be applied for before construction starts.

This program allows allocatees to make investments in approved service areas in all 50 states. Organizations are able to search for Community Development Entities with available NMTC allocation authority remaining.

Historic Tax Credits assist with the renovation of certified historic structures and buildings that are approved by the Alabama Historical Commission and constructed prior to 1936.

Awarded by the Alabama Film Office, this incentive may include an income tax rebate and an exemption from the state portion of sales, use, and lodging taxes to entities producing entertainment content such as motion pictures, soundtracks, and documentaries.
